Guildford Borough Council launched the Guildford Town Centre Masterplan on Friday 2 October. The public will be able to view the proposals at a number of locations including the project shop at Swan Lane over the next 6 weeks.

The masterplan proposes a major community park for the River Wey.

The masterplan proposals transform pedestrian connections between the town centre and rail station; identifies space for new homes, jobs and shops; removes a gyratory system; and reveals the riverfront with new public spaces and cultural uses that address the water.

The consultation will inform the final version of the masterplan, and the Council will draw on the document for preparation of the Local Plan and more detail studies. Further details can be found at
