BANHAMS NEW OFFICE ON THORNSETT ROAD OPENING PARTY

Banham’s new office in Earlsfield, designed by Allies and Morrison, was officially opened yesterday evening by MP Ian Duncan Smith. Throughout the evening, tours of the new facility were provided and Charles Hallett and Lucy Banham showcased the history of the Banham Group and talked about their delight with the new building and its significance for the Banham family business.

Located in an industrial enclave set in the heart of a largely residential district in Earlsfield, the building responds to its context with simple robust architecture that settles into the perspective of suburban rooftops and chimneys. The form comprises two wings, unequal in length which are linked by a large single storey volume within which are the Manufacturing and distribution elements of the business. Above this is a generous south facing roof terrace which offers scenic views of the river Wandle and greater London.
